Poem “Kata”

Kata

The battle of imaginary opponents.

Turning, twisting, thrusting, pushing, pulling.

Your body muscles move toward the dance.

In seeking out the balance on just one leg.

You sweat, focus, stand straight, strain.

You create grace and control within the dance.

When you´re working on your stances.

Wide stance, cat stance, horse stance, back stance.

You feel so close to the dance.

Your mind and body strive for excellence.

Your legs, arms, shoulders, hands unite.

Your heart and soul become the dance.
